Philip Ream Clarke (1889-1966) was a Chicago investment banker, corporate director, and civic leader. He was president of the City National Bank and Trust Company of Chicago from 1932 until 1951 when he succeeded Charles Gates Dawes as Chairman of the Board. He sat on the boards of directors of the U.S. Steel Corporation, the Pennsylvania Railroad Company, and Montgomery Ward and Company. He was also a director of Chicago's Presbyterian St. Luke's Hospital and the Museum of Science and Industry....
